Punta Gorda Historical Mural Society, Golf Mural in Progress Days 8 and 9 at the YMCA

These are two of the players competing against Patty Berg. I had names for them when I first did the research, but I don't remember who they are now.
It has been a week sense my last post. I was sick with the flu, but I am much better now, and did some painting today.

A closer view gives a better sense of my use of color. The purpose is not so much to copy reality, but to make a bold statement that from a distance is dreamlike, or super-real.

Punta Gorda Historical Mural Society Golf Mural at the YMCA, Days 6 and 7

Day 6 was spent working on the club house that was used in Punta Gorda in the 30's and 40's. It has since been torn down.
This photo shows a view that better illustrates the building in context with the mural.
Day 7 was spent working on the six palm trees. Color is a primary element in my paintings. I want the mural to shine like a jewel.
This close-up of the trees better shows my use of color.
