Punta Gorda Historical Mural Society, YMCA golf mural in progress

After two days of priming the wall, laying out the grid, and transferring the image of the sample painting as a line drawing on the wall, I got some help from family to fill in large blocks of the background. This is the second of four proposed murals to be painted on the surrounding wall of the Punta Gorda YMCA on Highway 41.
From left to right, my brother Tom, my mother Caroline, my niece Laura, and her mother Chris.

By the end of the day the base coat of half the sky and the ground was filled in.
On day four I finished the sky.
On day five I worked on giving the ground depth by moving the color from dark to light.
